That hurt epically! So my internal optimism was not justified, the swim was in the reservoir so it had not warmed and was 11C! This did not fair well so I was on the back foot with my asthma from the start! Ended up mid field and fighting not swimming. Came out the water unable to feel my feet and off on the bike. Plan was just head down and go! It stung! But I felt great and was flying past people 🙂 over took to cars on the return of the out and back and the wobbles into transition.

Run time!!! Bust or go home. Was epic, overtaking people, me over taking people, what a change, 1km, 2km, 4km, shit!!!!! Been redlining for too long! Asthma went, sounded like a steam train dieing pulling too much load! 4km of backing off and finally could open the taps a bit 9km down taps really opening again and catching people again! Finished a frustrating 2hr18 went I know there’s more in the tank as the legs never felt tired 🙁

However, body hurts now!
