Southport Tri

Southport Tri

On Sunday 22nd MaMultisport took part in Southport Triathlon.
That has to have been one of the hardest Olympic Distance tri’s I have ever done!
The swim I spent most of the time trying not to be sick due to the smell of the silt getting churned up. 25.5min swim so while not setting the world on fire is on course for the IM pace as felt I was holding form.
On to the bike!!! A very weird out and back. Into the wind maybe doing 30km/h but at odd point coming back doing 48km/h generic vytorin. The average was terrible 1:09 including kicking the chain off with the pedals already clipped in. The legs were burning!
On to the run and smashed out 43 min 10km! 6mins faster than last time out. 2hr22, and I think 31 seconds off making the worlds qualification time, not bad considering asthma, heart opps and training as a long distance diesel. What could we do next year with the right training!!!
