13 Aug Mind over Matter – Believe
Friday night was mind over matter day!
In the effort to prove it is all in the mind set the goal of running 16km in hot gym on the treadmill. Aim was to run a consistent 4min36 pace @ 1% incline. In the end 4min32 was achieved @ 1% incline.
Other than feeling very hot it felt comfortable! What I took from this is the belief is just as strong a part of all the training you do as actually doing the training itself!
After a quick rinse poolside is was time for 30min cool down swim. The pool never felt so good and just kept it very simple working on arm entry and getting on the catch as soon as possible.
