04 May Race Week Sharpener
Great swim with Simon this morning! After a good chat with George over curry night it was time to put the advice to the test!
After a reasonable warm up making sure to drive the rotation from the shoulders and thighs. It was time to make sure there was at least a 5 second gap to Simon on each take off.
The main set was a twist on an old favourite. 8*50m, 4*100m, 2*200m, 1*400m but then returning to 16*25m as its race week. Focus here is to sharpen back up after the 400m and push on through fatigue.
As the set went on the rotation came in and out so more work required to keep long but not over reach. Ultimately putting the arms in the position for maximum leverage through the water.
Ultimately very please as all done having fasted over night and didn’t feel low on energy by the end.
